How to catapult a pumpkin

Thanks to County Line for the opportunity to smash a pumpkin in style for charity. It was immensely satisfying.

  6. Just as an FYI: that machine is called a trebuchet, not a catapult. A catapult is a different type of machine for throwing things, uses a completely different set of mechanics and physics.

    As the one in these pictures launching said pumpkin, I should know :)

    And by the way, fantastic shots...I've never seen such a great sequence of a launch.

    1. Thanks for correcting me, now we'll have to experiment with different mechanisms of launching pumpkins to see which goes furthest, or which results in the best SPLAT. Thanks for launching our pumpkin!
