Hahaha! Love it!
There is nothing more satisfying than the solid thud of a pumpkin coming in to land and subsequently exploding.
You have such a great blog. I just stumbled upon it! I will definitely be back. These pumpkin posts are fantastic!
Thank you very much Ashley! I must admit I am having fun with these pumpkin posts. Pumpkins have always been an amusing fruit.
haha! i've never done this before but now i kinda wanna make it a fall tradition.
It was incredibly good fun. First time I've done it; hopefully not the last.
Potentially the best post i've ever seen on a blog :) Lizz xxx
Hahaha, high praise indeed! Thanks ;)
Thanks again for posting these wonderful photos from our charity Pumpkin Chunkin' event. We posted a link to your blog on our County Line Nursery facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/CountyLineLandscapeNursery
Oh brilliant! Thanks for letting us smash a pumpkin. It was definitely a first for me :D
Just as an FYI: that machine is called a trebuchet, not a catapult. A catapult is a different type of machine for throwing things, uses a completely different set of mechanics and physics. As the one in these pictures launching said pumpkin, I should know :)And by the way, fantastic shots...I've never seen such a great sequence of a launch.
Thanks for correcting me, now we'll have to experiment with different mechanisms of launching pumpkins to see which goes furthest, or which results in the best SPLAT. Thanks for launching our pumpkin!
